Boo Marlins

I took the day off from work on Wednesday to go to Marlins Park for the Braves/Marlins match up with my dad & Dan.

Both my dad & Dad made comments prior to us arriving alluding to the fact like, "Could you imagine if today's Kids Day at the park?"

Welllllll, it was.

And it was miserable.

We started out in our regular section, upper deck, first row in right field. It was fun watching a few of the Braves on the DL take batting practice (including my love Evan Gattis; he was hitting bombs!) And a few kids started filing in.

We decided to take a nice little walk around the park, but WOW. Kids Camps everywhere. Lines of kids throughout every section of the park. We had to switch seats about 4 times and finally found a section kids-free.

Now, don't get me wrong. I like kids. I like baseball. I understand it was probably a really fun event for them. But as a grumpy 29 year old, it was terrible. There were only about 6 sections in the park not filled with groups of kids in similar colored shirts.

Also makes us wonder how many of those kids get LOST during the game?!

To add insult to injury... the Braves lost.

Here's an image of a peaceful park before the kids. :)

  1. I feel the same way in a sea of kids. Like, I want them to have fun, but I also don't want them anywhere near me! lol. I'm a crotchety old lady.
